So this is day six of my quarantine and I really didn't have much to post for days four and five. I have been working from home which affords some distraction from being cooped up inside all the time. I am also trying to get more familiar with my laptop as I normally don't have time to mess around after I get home from work, I find I need a clear head to deal with computers.
I am still doing my best to eat healthy and not nibble as that will derail any progress I have made so far. It gives me a good sense of accomplishment when I am able to resist the temptation specially since the kitchen is only about ten steps away from the living room.
Last night I baked a canned ham with pineapple on top. With that I had 3/4 of a cup of organic rainbow carrots. I must say they were very good and very colorful. I made sure that with being kept inside for at least two weeks my meat that I purchased might not last so canned hams do not need to be refrigerated nor frozen so that freed up space in those two areas. Also the shelf life is better so you don't need to worry that it is going to get freezer burnt or spoil in the fridge. Of course once the can has been opened and you have left overs, those do need to be refrigerated and used up in four days. I buy the small canned hams which gives me about four meals. This is a nice change to having organic ground beef or chicken.
Exercising has been enjoyable as I can exercise whenever I like. I am always going online to try to find some new exercises and lately I was searching the web for chair exercises and I found a site that not only had illustrations, but also has videos showing how to do them, This is the link for that site: californiamobility.com/21-chair-exercises-for-seniors-visual-guide
Exercise is very important today with not only being confined indoors but for everyday overall good health. It is also good to try different forms of exercise so that you do not get bored. I have videos, standing exercises, chair exercises and floor exercises. I also have a treadmill and a cycle to use. This certainly helps change things up so that I do not get bored. Whenever I can find a new move to do I like to add it to my routine,
As an update at present there seems to be 55 confirmed cases, 7 recovered, 0 deaths for our county. The county north of us has 102 confirmed, 71 recovered, 3 deaths. The county south of us has 105 confirmed, 23 recovered, 6 deaths. I do hope people will stay in and be safe. It would be nice if everyone could be tested. It must be heart wrenching for those who have lost family and friends. Use wisdom if you go out. Think not only of your own safety but the safety of others, Till tomorrow......
