Well I am nearing the end of quarantine which we cannot leave our apartments until 8 a.m. on the 20th of April. There really hasn't been much going on except for working on online workshops which I must say has been nice because I have learned several interesting things. Some I can use at work but others have been in areas that do not quite fit with my job but is good information to know.
I had an issue with my microphone not working but I persisted and managed to fix the problem so I could connect with a live workshop. Next week I will be able to make up the one where I could not connect to see what they were doing. I am glad the instructor is willing to do a one-on-one with me.
Once I had the microphone working my younger sister contacted me and we doubled checked everything and we decided to do a Zoom meeting. We then contacted our other sister and she also joined in. It really was nice to be able to connect and see each other as it looks like it will be some time before any of us can do the 2 1/2 or 4 hour drive to see one another. I mentioned to my son that he will have to do that as well so we can at least see each other.
I haven't been too bored but did have a couple of days during this quarantine where I seemed to nibble all day and into the evening. Fortunately I haven't gained any weight. I spoke with one doctor by phone yesterday and she would like me to use my treadmill at least 30 min. a day. I contacted the office to contact my down stair neighbor to give him a heads up that he would hear some rumbling. My other doctor visit by phone was my weight loss doctor and we are going to try something else to help me sleep and I am to try what is called intermittent fasting. I will have breakfast at 10 a.m. and will not eat anything after 6 p.m. Hopefully I can keep myself busy in the evening where I won't feel hungry.
I decided to measure my body to compare to what I had for numbers back in February and I was pleased that I did lose a few inches which made me very happy and that also helps to want to keep going. So if you are on a weight loss journey and the scale doesn't seem to move make sure when you first start you take measurements and then take them a few weeks or a month later to see that there is progress being made even though it might not seem like it because of what the scale reads.
I hope everyone is staying safe and well at this time.
